Essie's Cosmo

Today I received Essie's 'Cosmo's PSS shimmer'. I entered a contest a week or two ago that Cosmopolitan was running. (http://www.cosmopolitan.com/sweepstakes/22425)

The first 1500 who entered got a bottle of this exclusive shade. I didn't even know that I won until it was in my mailbox today!  

It came packaged in a cute little box.

(All with one base of OPI NE and a Dazzle Dry top coat) 

Same colors as above except with Essie 'Matte About You'

I put the Matte About You over the Dazzle Dry top coat. It still worked, but this was my first time using it, so I don't know if I would have gotten different results had I not put on the regular top coat :-X

Final thoughts:

I take anything that is free. If you don't like it, you don't have to keep it. I won't be wearing it alone. If I decide to wear it in the near future, I'll probably layer it over Alpine Snow since I feel like the Black Onyx combo is more appropriate for the winter season. I was kind of rushed tonight since I have a busy rest of the week ahead of me. I just grabbed a few colors from my rack that I thought would be interesting to put under it. What do you all think of this shade? Any combos I should try? 

BTW, I also received Essie 'One Day Without Blues'. It is a limited edition shade with Toms shoes. I entered this contest on twitter and BOOOOOOM! It was in my mailbox a few days later. If you want to see swatches of that, I will be more than happy to do so! 

The Wanted at 923 Now 4/23/12

So I have to admit, I am a fairly lucky girl. This was my second time meeting The Wanted. I just started a new job last week on top of my first job and babysitting. It was a long, hectic week. A local radio station here in NY (92.3) was giving away passes 3x a day for the meet and greet. I had missed a lot of chances for the tickets due to work. Finally on Friday, (the last day they were giving away the tickets) I only had to babysit. I tried at the 5PM shot and nothing. My last chance was at 8PM, and my mom and best friend were trying as well. I got through a few times but you had to be caller 92. Finally, someone picks up and says "oh, wait, I think Chunky already has a winner." My heart sank! Why would they pick up if they already had a winner?! I was on hold for around 5 minutes, then Chunky (the DJ) answers and I immediately knew I won. I broke down in happy tears. Chunky didn't believe I was 21, because I cried over a boy band.  I DID! I ADMIT IT! SUE ME. It was the third best day of my life, right after meeting Big Time Rush and The Wanted the first time. BTW, The Wanted's self-titled debut American EP CAME OUT TODAY!
